From Sketch to Step
Every pair begins as a line on paper, and ends as a step.
Between the two, five stages. Each one is quiet, and each one decides how the shoe will feel.
Design
It starts with a sketch. Proportion, height, the curve of the strap, the line of the heel. We draw, adjust, and draw again, until nothing is left to correct.
Cutting
The leather is cut with care, because every piece must fit the next. Small differences here become visible later, so we are precise from the first cut.
Shaping
The upper is shaped over the last, the wooden form that gives the shoe its character. This is where a flat piece of leather becomes the shape of a shoe.
Finishing
Stitching, edges, lining, insole, heel. The parts you do not see are finished with the same attention as the parts you do.
Inspection
Each pair is looked at closely before it leaves us. If something is not right, it is not ready.
Made in Egypt, to international standards.
Details you feel.
